1 Load your backup
Select both files from your unit’s backup. Nothing is uploaded.
How to make a backup — start here
- Stop playback, mute monitoring, disconnect USB, and turn the unit off.
- Hold GRF 6 while switching power on, then release it.
- Press GRF 5 ten times before connecting USB.
- Connect USB. Open the AIRAMODULAR drive, then its BACKUP folder.
- Copy AIRA_MODULAR_ROM.BIN and ROMINFO.TXT to a safe folder on your computer. Keep this original pair untouched.
- Safely eject the drive and disconnect USB. Restart normally when finished. Select your saved copies below.
If BACKUP does not appear, stop and ask for help. Do not copy update files or start a restore just to make a backup.
Supports v1.05 builds 0491 and 0493.
An official *_UPD.BIN update or USERAREA.BIN is not a full-ROM backup.
Files are checked automatically when both are selected.

2 Choose a model
Your current model is greyed out. Saved patches stay unchanged; initialize in Customizer after switching if needed.
3 Download
Your original backup is included for recovery. This tool does not flash the unit.
How to install on your unit
- Extract it on your computer. Keep the ZIP and
recovery/safely off the unit. - Stop playback and mute monitoring. Disconnect USB, power off, then hold GRF6 while powering on. Release it and connect USB.
- Confirm the AIRAMODULAR drive and VERSION.TXT. With no conflicting update/ROM files, copy only the two files inside
install/to the drive root. Do not copy the ZIP, both folders, or extra firmware files. - Safely eject. If Windows says “in use,” close files and retry; do not force-eject. Disconnect USB only after successful eject.
- When the center is light blue and GRF6 flashes, press GRF6 once. Keep power on throughout. If the indicators differ, stop and seek help.
- Expected completion on the tested unit: blue center and both GRF buttons flashing together. Then power-cycle normally and verify personality. Lights alone are not proof of a correct flash.
- Initialize the selected model in Customizer as needed. Test at low volume. A new full-ROM backup allows byte comparison with the package.
The recovery package restores this input snapshot, including its saved patches. It cannot guarantee recovery if the bootloader is damaged.
Compatibility details
Requires known boot/updater code, an exact build-0491 or build-0493 application fingerprint, native ROMINFO range, and one unambiguous Product record. Unknown builds and ambiguous record histories are blocked.
0493: four personalities and a return to Scooper tested on one Scooper. 0491: reported working by the project owner, with additional offline package tests. Other units are not independently validated. The tool preserves your firmware version; it does not upgrade 0491 to 0493 or fix its bugs.
