SIMULATOR ON: nothing is sent to a real RD-6.

RD-6 Scatter Updater

Install Scatter on your Behringer RD-6, back up the firmware it has now, or go back to the official firmware.

Before you start: use Chrome or Edge on a computer, and close SynthTribe and other music apps. While an update runs, keep the USB cable connected and keep this tab open and in front. Scatter is unofficial, experimental firmware.

1 Connect your RD-6

Connect the RD-6 to this computer with a USB cable, switch it on and press STOP. Then click Connect. If the browser asks to let this page control your MIDI devices, choose Allow.

Not connected.

2 Back up

Firmware

The RD-6 can't send its firmware to a computer. Instead, the updater saves Behringer's official file for the version your RD-6 reports. Restoring that file puts the same firmware back.

Connect your RD-6 first (step 1).

Patterns and settings

Reads all 32 patterns and your RD-6's settings (such as its MIDI channels) and saves them to a file. Nothing on the RD-6 changes. Press STOP first.

Connect your RD-6 first (step 1).

3 Install or restore

Scatter is built on Behringer firmware 1.0.5, so afterwards your RD-6 reports version 1.0.5. That's expected. Your patterns and settings are stored separately and installing doesn't change them, but saving them in step 2 first is a good idea.

Nothing running.
